This morning, you are picked up from your hotel in Stockholm and transported out of the city to the beautiful county of Sörmland lying south of Stockholm. We head towards the town of Gnesta and the picturesque Vårdinge church where your trip begins.
You cycle from the church towards the small village of Laxne, passing along the shores of the beautiful Lake Klämmingen. Enjoy the peace and quiet, and the views across the lake, and if the weather allows take the opportunity to stop and swim in the clear waters.
After lunch, you get back on your bicycles for the next part of your journey back to Mariefred through pine forests dotted with lakes glistening through the trees. Stop for a swim or stroll through the woods to enjoy the surroundings yet further.
At the end of your cycling trip, you arrive at the charming village of Mariefred. After your canoe introduction, the route takes you through remarkable scenery as you paddle gently down Lake Marviken to Laxne. The area has its own unique character because of its geological history - the mountain split in two and as a result Lake Marviken is today bordered by 50 metre high cliffs. Here you will have time to enjoy your picnic lunch looking out over the beautiful lake views.
After lunch, you get back into your canoes and continue paddling as the lake widens into the beautiful Lake Klämmingen. This morning, you are picked up from your hotel in Stockholm and transported out of the city to the beautiful county of Sörmland lying south of Stockholm. We head towards the beginning of your hike at Fredriksberg.
You hike southwards following the Sörmlandsleden, a hiking path that winds its way through Sörmland’s prettiest parts. This hike encapsulates the best of the Sörmland landscape, taking you through varied landscape of lakes, both large and small, forests and hills with delightful views across the countryside. You hike up Ulvsättersbergen hill where you can enjoy the beautiful, mile-wide views across the Swedish countryside. You hike through typical Swedish woodland, intercepted by smooth rocks with a rich plant and animal life. If you are quiet you may be able to see or hear black grouse, capercaillie, cranes amongst other birdlife. You then climb up Lövviksbergen hill where you have beautiful views across Lake Klämmingen and the farming area to the south. Lake Klämmingen is about 10km long and lies in a fault valley which also continues north into the Marviken network of lakes.
This stretch takes you into the wilderness, passing many inland lakes, forest, hills and marshland. For many years this was an inaccessible part of the country. You continue on towards the nature reserve at Lake Stora Envätten, 62 meters above sea level.
You hike in the direction of Gnesta to an inlet called Yngsviken where you will be collected and transferred to back to Stockholm.

This morning, you are picked up from your hotel in Stockholm and transported out of the city to the charming seaside village of Dalarö where you board the car ferry the short distance to the archipelago island of Ornö. When you arrive, you will be driven directly to the small marina where your sailing boat will be waiting. Ornö is the largest island in the southern archipelago totaling 14km in length and 6km at its widest part. Orn�� has traditionally been less exploited for tourism than some of its neighbouring islands and remains today an island with a living community.
Once out on the sea, you will have the chance to enjoy some of the 24,000 glorious islands in Stockholm's endless archipelago. Stretching some 80km east of Stockholm deep into the Baltic waters, it formed during the last Ice Age and is today considered to be one of the world’s natural wonders. There are many islands located close by Ornö which can be visited during a day’s sailing. One of the more visited islands is the holiday island of Utö, visited by Stockholmers for its Nature Reserve, exceptional beaches and history. Alternatively, there is Fjärdlång island which despite being on the edge of bustling Stockholm, could not be more remote and the whole island has been deservedly declared a nature reserve. Huvudskär is another closely lying group of some 200 islands and skerries which have also been recognised for their beauty and declared a nature reserve. They are also known for their rich birdlife which fill the seas and skies with sound and movement. Many other islands lie within a day’s sailing of Ornö, and your route will be planned dependent on wind and sea conditions, but whichever direction you head, you will not be disappointed.
